"Anything worth doing is worth doing well"
My name is Tammy Dobbins and I am thrilled to be at St. John the Baptist. I graduated from the College of St. Catherine in 1996. I began my teaching experience here at St. John's in the 4th grade and also taught 2nd and 3rd grade. I taught in the Fridley school district, overseeing their Gifted and Talented program at the elementary schools and I have been an item writer for standardized tests. I am a K-12 Reading Specialist with a Master of Arts in Literacy from St. Mary's University in Winona. I am also an adjunct program instructor for St. Mary's Literacy program.
As Director of Student Resources, my goal is to oversee student growth in all areas and support students and staff in attaining this goal. As part of this, I oversee the Read Naturally program before school. This research based program supports reading development in the area of fluency.
