CONGRATULATIONS to all St. John the Baptist second graders who received their First Holy Communion recently. SJB School second graders wore their First Communion finery to the all-school Mass on Wed. May 9th (pictured above). The entire St. John's community joins in celebrating with our second graders this most special gift of the Eucharist, Jesus Christ, truly present, body, blood, soul and divinity. May you all stay close to His heart always!

2012 Track Champs!
Congratulations to all participants of the SJB Track Teams! The Girls' Team placed 2nd out of over 20 teams in the CAA (Catholic Athletic Association), their sixth year running to place in the top two teams.
SJB's Boys' Team once again came home CAA Champions, topping the league for the second straight year (their third 1st place in the past five seasons)! WAY TO GO, JAGUARS!!

Positive reports continue to come in from area high schools on SJB School alumni! Nearly half of the SJB grads from 2008 who went on to Totino-Grace High School have achieved a four-year cumulative GPA of 3.8 or higher (including many being enrolled in advanced courses).
One area high school instructor recently shared: "We can see that the students we teach who come from SJB are very well prepared for high school in so many aspects. They are academically prepared as well as morally and behaviorally prepared. They exhibit respect, maturity and self-discipline. I commend you on the outstanding job that SJB is doing with the students....[SJB students] are receiving a quality education, while also being taught to be well-rounded young people."
