Welcome back to S.J.B. 2016-17
Welcome to Physical Education! My name is Kevin Miley. I am the fourth of seven children, and I cherish my family more than anything. I grew up attending Catholic schools in the Twin Cities (St. Luke's and Cretin-Derham Hall), and before I knew it I had attended a Catholic school my entire life. I graduated from St. Mary's University of Minnesota with degrees in Sports Management and Finance. My passion for faith, education and athletics has led me to where I am today.
At St. John the Baptist, we see each day as an opportunity to better ourselves and those around us. It is my goal to use fitness and activity to help students become the best possible versions of themselves. We will grow together through participation in team oriented and individual activities as well day to day interactions with our peers. It is important to create meaningful relationships in and out of the classroom, and physical education allows students to build relationships that go beyond the classroom.
Leadership is an important skill learned through physical education. Through experiences among our classmates, we learn to be servant leaders - putting the needs of others before ourselves. You don't have to be great to serve, but you have to serve to be great.
